SECOND SHIFT – FIRST PRIVATE SCHOOL IN DELHI
10. On persistent demand of admissions from parents, we started the Second Shift in April-
2007 with 41 students and two teachers. The demand for admission in Second Shift increased
every year and as on date we have around 1500 students on roll including 45 special need
children from classes Play Group to X. A team of 80 highly motivated, qualified teachers and
staff members working under the able guidance and leadership of Smt. Vandana Baberwal,
Principal-Second Shift. We are happy to mention that in the history of 67 years of Delhi, ours is
the first private un-aided school in Delhi to get the formal Recognition of the Second Shift as an
independent separate entity in September-2?14. lt has been possible due to the positive and
innovative initiative of the Directorate of Education. We all, students, staff, parents and
members of the Management of the Second Shift will ever remain indebted to Dr. Madhu Rani
Teotia, lAS, Addl. Director of Education and Smt. P. Lata Tara, Deputy Director of Education
(Act-l) without whose active support this dream would have never been realized. She has been
instrumental in framing and implementing the policy of approval of Second Shift in private
Schools. lt is confirmed that the EWS & DG Freeship Quota is implemented in the Second Shift
separately. Within no time, students of the Second Shift have started participating in various
sports and curricular events organized by the Directorate of Education, CBSE and other
agencies. Parents are very happy and satisfied as quality education and all other requisite
facilities are being provided at par.
